Sweet and Sour Pork
2 lbs lean shoulder pork cut into strips 2" x 1/2"
   (do not chop - use a sharp knife).
2 tbsp butter
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup vinegar
1 tbsp crushed sesame seed
1 tbsp soya
1/2 cup green peppers (cut in strips)
1/2 cup thinly sliced chestnuts
1 cup sauteed fresh mushrooms
1 cup pineapple juice
1 (No. 2) can pineapple chunks (halved)
Brown pork in butter, add water and cook slowly for 1 hr.  Mix the sugar, cornstarch, 
salt, vinegar, pineapple juice, soya and salt and cook a few minutes until it starts 
to thicken.  Let it stand 15 minutes.  Add the sesame and chow toss*.  Pour the sauce 
over the meat and after a few minutes, add pepper, onion, pineapple, chestnuts and 
mushrooms.  Chow toss lightly.  Let it stand about 3 minutes.  The vegetables must 
stay crisp.  Serve over hot rice.
